Em, Joey from Friends is the new presenter of Top Gear... it's The Dredge

All the best of the day’s celebrity FILTH.

EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt from the top to the very bottom.

The BBC has announced that Matt LeBlanc will be the new presenter of Top Gear. And not just for a gas one-off episode. For real.

LeBlanc will host the show alongside Chris Evans when it returns to our screens in May and seems excited about his new gig.

Speaking of celebrities popping up in unusual places, Colin Farrell is going to appear in RTÉ 2′s Don’t Tell The Bride tonight. Yes, you read correctly.

In tonight’s episode of Don’t Tell The Bride, 25-year-old Enda attends the Dublin premiere of The Lobster in an effort to convince Colin Farrell to record a message for his bride-to-be.

Will he abide? Only one way to find out…

Last weekend, it was confirmed that Gilmore Girls was coming back for a brand new season. Praise the heavens above!

One person who won’t be involved in the revival, though? Melissa McCarthy.

A fan begged McCarthy to reprise her role as Sookie in the forthcoming revival and McCarthy replied that she HAD NOT BEEN ASKED BACK.

NO SOOKIE? This is a travesty.

The show’s creator has reportedly stated that she left Sookie out of the revival due to McCarthy’s busy schedule, but should Melissa McCarthy have the time or desire to appear in the show, she’ll happily write her back in.

The least she can do, tbh.
